Aiki Ten Shin Sho Kai now offers a series of short courses in most aspects of the School curriculum.

These courses are known as seitei gata, or representative forms and are designed to give individuals a good working knowledge of a particular weapon or open hand approach.

These courses are open to all members of the public and do not require membership of the School. Certificates of achievement are issued to those who have competed the course to the required standard.

Courses are run periodically depending on the time of year and the demand.

Currently courses are available in:

Aiki Tai Jutsu (open hand)

Aiki Jo (short staff)

Aiki Bo (long staff)

Aiki Bokuto (wooden sword)

Aiki Batto (sword drawing, sometimes referred to as iado)*

Future courses will include:

Naginata (halberd)

Hanbo (short stick)

*Participants will have to provide their own weapon for this particular course
